Medical Care for Women will remain open, and we are here to serve our patients. We welcome all new and current patients, offering complete gynecological and obstetrical care. We will also offer COVID 19 testing.

We have a state of the art facility that is in compliance with the CDC requirements, and a generous waiting room so there will be no patient to patient contact. We are taking all precautions by disinfecting all the rooms and equipment after each and every patient to put your health first.

At Medical Care for Women in Astoria, New York and Jamaica, New York, Andrea Olanescu, MD, serves each of her patients with quality, compassionate care. She founded Medical Care for Women because she knows that each woman is unique — as is her life. At her practice, Dr. Olanescu tailors her approach and her medical services to each woman’s specific needs.

After earning her MD at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in Bucharest, Romania, Dr. Olanescu broadened her expertise through an internal medicine residency at Lenox Hill Hospital in New York City and an OB/GYN residency at Jersey City Medical Center in Jersey City, New Jersey. Today, she is a fellow of the American Board of Internal Medicine and of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists.

Dr. Olanescu is deeply committed to serving the multicultural and multiethnic community of Queens, New York. She is a board-certified OB/GYN with physician affiliations at NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Hospital, Long Island Jewish Forest Hills Hospital, and Flushing Hospital.

She knows that the diversity of the Queens community can bring a variety of medical needs and challenges, as well as a range of lifestyle goals. She’s dedicated to serving each patient at Medical Care for Women based on her specific needs and wants.
